Find a Shooting Range

We at Ace Sporting Goods get asked the question all the time “Where are there shooting ranges?”  Let’s see if we can help.

 

There are Pennsylvania Game Commission ranges that require either an annual $30 range use permit or a current general hunting or furtaker license.  http://www.pgc.pa.gov/HuntTrap/StateGameLands/StateGameLandsRanges/Pages/default.aspx

 

In the Washington PA area here are the directions: Rt 70 take the Claysville Exit and turn right onto Rt 40 East. Approximately 6 3 /4 mile turn Right onto Rt 231S. Go 3 miles to Ranch Road. Large wooden sign for SGL Range turn Right down dirt road one mile to range on left, parking lot on right.

 

In the Pittsburgh PA area here are the directions: From I 79 take Wexford Exit. Go East on Rt 910 get into left lane, pass Boron Gas Station 500 ft turn Left onto Mingo Road. Go .8 miles on Mingo Road and turn Left onto State Game Land Road. Game lands ahead 1 mile on both sides, Range driveway is on the right. Large wooden sign at range entrance. From Rt 8 in Gibsonia, take Rt 910 West for 8.6 miles to Mingo Road. Turn Right onto Mingo Road. Go .8 miles on Mingo Road and turn Left onto State Game Land Road. Game lands ahead 1 mile on both sides, Range driveway is on the right. Large wooden sign at range entrance.
